The Castledene Group, based in the Nort East, has announced the acquisition of James Winn estate agency.
The purchase of James Winn, located in Thirsk and Northallerton, means that The Castledene Group now covers a geographical area from Northumberland to North Yorkshire.
John Paul, CEO of The Castledene Group, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome James Winn Estate Agents to the Castledene family. The group has grown quite substantially over the past decade and we’ve always been keen to acquire agencies who share our ambition to ‘be better’, providing clients with the best possible standards of service.”
James Winn temporarily closed its branch earlier this year due the coronavirus pandemic but will now reopen under new management.
The company will continue to operate under the same name with the same members of staff that clients are familiar with.
James Winn also has its eye on expansion using the same brand name, in the North Yorkshire area.
Matt Holbrook, commercial director of The Castledene Group, commented: “James Winn has an excellent local reputation and we’re looking forward to working with the current team as they become part of the group. I’m confident that the branches will go from strength to strength.”
Fake news.
James Winn aren’t located in Northallerton as they closed their office at the start of 2020. Seems hard to understand how they will expand when they have been shutting offices?

Been watching this group Castledean from afar. Seems to be a well run operation. I cant help but think they need someone in to really push on as they have very good foundations.
They should split the sales and letting and have two capable individuals drive each department.
Seem a switched on bunch, probably already looking at an exit strategy.
