Letting agents using Alto can now manage custodial tenancy deposit protection directly through the property software platform.
The new integration with TDS covers England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Agents operating across different parts of the UK can use the same workflow.
TDS is the parent group of SafeDeposits Scotland and provides tenancy deposit protection services across the UK.
Agents can access the new integration through the Alto Marketplace. It connects deposit protection with their existing property management software.
The move aims to reduce the administration involved in registering and managing deposits.
It could also help agencies reduce compliance risks when transferring information between separate systems.
The UK-wide functionality may prove particularly useful for multi-branch agencies. It allows them to manage deposits across different jurisdictions through one system.
Alto combines sales, lettings, client accounting, marketing, reporting and compliance functions within its platform.
Thousands of estate and letting agents use the software. Alto says it serves more than a third of the UK agency market.
The TDS deal forms part of a wider move towards connecting compliance services directly with agency CRM systems.
