So who thought it was a good idea to get Phil Spencer rapping?

Someone must have thought it a good idea for Phil Spencer to try his hand at rapping.

Perhaps it was someone with a short memory – remember those FindaProperty granny rapping adverts and their decidedly Marmite effect?

Anyway, Zoopla’s new national radio advertising campaign features Phil and British rap artist Ty.

Apparently Phil learnt to rap in under three hours, taught by Ty, and executed the ad in just one take.

We can only hope and pray that he does not try to entertain the ESTAS bash this Friday with a repetition. On the other hand, we might just have given him the idea.

Incidentally, listeners to the Zoopla ads are being invited to vote for the version they prefer.

What on earth are these eejits doing? I’ve just seen the press today with Zoopla warning, “Ed Miliband’s proposed housing policies could reverse the recent property market recovery”.

Politics and rap music? I couldn’t think of a better way to draw the lines to your users. Awful, awful, marketing decisions.
