There has been a huge outpouring of concern and good wishes following the news that Eye’s editor Ros Renshaw had suffered a serious accident last Friday. We will keep you updated on her progress.
Ros is still in hospital following an operation on Sunday. She was in theatre for almost five hours having what is known as a reverse shoulder replacement.
Her husband Andrew thanks everyone for their many messages of support, both on EYE and by email.
He said: “These messages are greatly appreciated and I have told Ros about them. Apologies for not being able to answer them individually.
“Unfortunately Ros will not be able to type for some time yet, but please be assured she has been buoyed by all your kind thoughts and good wishes.
“It is possible she will be sent home today, when her lengthy recovery will have to start without the excellent care she has been given by all the NHS staff.
“Our heartfelt thanks go out to all of them, from the ambulance crew of Daniel and Kriss who arrived quickly and took more than an hour to stabilise her, to the nurses and the skilled surgical team.”
Shoulder on Ros. Oops meant soldier on Ros:) X
