Rightmove has added a new rent review function to its Tenancy Manager platform as letting agents adapt to changes under the Renters’ Rights Act.
The new feature allows agents to create and serve a Section 13 rent increase notice directly from an existing tenancy record.
Rightmove said the functionality was one of the most requested updates from letting agents.
By bringing rent reviews into Tenancy Manager, agents can manage the process alongside other tenancy information rather than using separate systems.
The update aims to cut administration and help agents comply with the rules governing rent increases.
The launch comes as letting agencies adjust their processes following the implementation of the Renters’ Rights Act.
It forms part of Rightmove’s Lead to Keys suite, which covers several stages of the lettings process.
The system combines property advertising, enquiry management, referencing and tenancy progression.
Rightmove has also recently introduced PEPs and sanctions checks for landlords, tenants and guarantors through Rightmove Plus.
Another update added digital ID verification to Rightmove Referencing. Applicants can use the technology to confirm their identity during the referencing process.
The latest addition extends the platform further into ongoing tenancy management as agents face greater regulatory and administrative demands.
Rightmove is increasingly looking to connect different stages of the lettings process within one system, from advertising and enquiries through to referencing, tenancy progression and rent reviews.
