The countdown is on to show your generosity at the annual Agents Giving Day this Thursday.

Agents broke the £1m barrier last year and now Peter Knight, chairman of Agents Giving, is calling on the industry to raise as much as possible for their chosen charitable causes this year.

Charitable initiatives that Agents Giving is helping firms set up include a pub quiz organised by Paramount Properties in West Hampstead in aid of their local foodbank in Brent, and a number of coffee mornings organised by Clear Property, which will be held in their offices to raise funds for Age UK Exeter.

Support service Relocation Agent Network will also launch its #RelocationAcrosstheNation fundraising event on Thursday, helping to raise money for Agents Giving by donating £1 to Agents Giving every time they send or receive a customer referral from an estate agency member up until July 31.

Knight said: “Agents Giving Day is one of our favourite days in the calendar.

“It is a celebration of the great work that we do throughout the year and a chance for us to demonstrate the charitable nature of agents and boost our reputation.

“At Agents Giving, we are here to help support participants in the organisation of fundraising events, promote them and provide support grants through Rightmove to help with any set-up costs incurred.

“So, we encourage everyone to get behind Agents Giving Day, get in touch and promote what they are doing through the #AgentsGivingDay17 hashtag.”

You can make a donation by texting AGDY17 to 70070 to donate £5 to Agents Giving.
