Our Picture of the Week is a real charmer – if you like bugs, that is.
A short creepy-crawl to the nearest compost heap, it was added to Rightmove yesterday (and we wouldn’t mind betting has been removed by now on the grounds that it has indeed introduced bugs into the system).
It is on the pricey side at £10m, but on the other hand it does have 15 bedrooms.
The detached property, in Hertford, is on the market with agents Steven Oates, who have even produced a sales brochure.

Nice. Steven Oates breaching Rightmove’s terms and conditions in order to obtain a little free spam style advertising. Classy. Probably a stock photo too. May as well just whip a photo of their board up and add the following text ‘We have a Mr and Mrs J who want to buy a home in your street’.

More interestingly, I wonder what it does to the famous Random Number Generator (aka the RM House Price Index)?
A quick check shows that it has lifted the “average” house price in Hertford over the last 14 days from £420,306, to £710,600.
Is that the finishing ******** to a “Hertford is the new Chelsea” press release being produced as I type this that I can smell, Mr Shipside?
