Open all hours? Or will you be cutting back during the Euros?

Have you adjusted your opening hours to take account of the Euros, which kick off this Friday?

One agent that has is Daniels Estate Agents in the London borough of Brent.

Staff will be free to leave work shortly before kick-off time of any England game set to start within the company’s regular opening hours.

England will play Wales on Thursday, June 16, in Lens at 2pm. While staff will be free to leave to watch the game unfold, senior managers will man the telephone lines.

The company’s four offices will open one hour later in the morning after any England game scheduled for an evening kick-off.

In the event of England reaching the final in Paris on July 10, all branches will have amended opening hours the following day.

An English final loss will see their doors opening at noon the following day. If England win, the offices will be closed all day as staff join the nation in celebrating the victory.

Francis Henry, a partner with the company, said: “We believe we are the hardest-working estate agents in the borough and that makes it even more important for us to create a sensible work-life balance for our staff.”
