One of the UK’s oldest estate agents expands into two new areas

Nock Deighton, one of the oldest estate agency firms in the UK, has expanded its area of operation into two new areas.

The company, established in Shropshire in 1831, has launched two new operational territories in Stourbridge and Shrewsbury.

The company also has offices in Ludlow, Newport, Telford, Ironbridge, with its head office in Bridgnorth and a Worcestershire office in the Wyre Forest.

The firm’s chairman, Michael Nettleton, said: “Despite the challenges of the past couple of years we have taken a strategic approach, as such we have seen excellent opportunity for growth as a business with a strong focus on refining our model, this has led to us embracing opportunities to expand in to Shrewsbury and Stourbridge, areas we’ve had a keen eye on for a while.

“We have an established name in and around Shrewsbury so it is a natural progression however Stourbridge is a totally new territory for us, despite that we are confident that our unique approach will fit well in the local market and we are excited to see that we have already made excellent progress.

“We are delighted to welcome Nick Lawton and Andy Dawson who join us in the Stourbridge and Shrewsbury offices respectively and have decades of experience between them.”

Good to see a well established agency expand with investment in premises and staff. A real estate agency.

It does not say they have opened new offices or taken on new staff unless I am reading that incorrectly

Expansion is always good for the right reasons. I’ve got a feeling though its a sign that that the market is broken .. Agents need bigger areas to support the lack of sales and instructions coming on to the market.

If they are opening new offices with 4 staff, that is obviously a sign of success.

‘Territories’  just keep the google adwords share price increasing.
