Oakwood homes acquires Appleton Properties in Kent

Oakwood homes in Thanet has snapped up their neighbouring agents Appleton Properties to expand their presence further in East Kent.

Oakwood homes, established since 2005, now has four branches throughout the area, dealing with residential sales, lettings, property management, land, new homes, mortgages, financial services, commercial and property investment.

Andrew Dickinson, founder and managing director of Oakwood homes, said: “When we first started to discuss the possibility of our businesses aligning, it all made a lot of sense very quickly.

“We both share a passion for people and property, which can be seen by the loyal members of staff we both have the pleasure of working with – and the high number of repeat clients returning to us for business advice over the years.

“Joining the firms is a strategic move to further strengthen our Lettings and Property Management business as well as increasing our overall presence in the local market.”

Jason Appleton, director of Appleton Properties, added: “Oakwood homes acquisition of Appleton provides a major growth opportunity for all involved. We are pleased our existing clients will continue to receive the same high level of service and look forward to being part of any exciting future.

“Moving forward, we have several plans to diversify into additional sectors of the industry that will offer a complete service to our existing and new clients in the future. We are actively adapting to the rapid digital changes seen across the country in the property sector, as demand for greater openness and transparency becomes evident. This has never been more so than through the last year during these very trying times for everyone.

“Both firms have always prided themselves on remaining professional in all aspects of business, so this is a very natural journey that we openly welcome. Clients will continue to receive the very best service from everyone they have been used to dealing with.”
