No lunch at homeless charity? Agency staff step up to the plate

Eye can’t, unfortunately, mention all your charitable works, good deeds and fund-raising projects.

It’s not that we don’t want to – there are simply too many.

However, we think this particular effort is exemplary.

Belgarum, in Hampshire, is supporting the local homeless charity Trinity Winchester this year.

The firm has given it funds, done food collection runs and has six of its team signed up to sleep rough in Winchester to raise money on May 8.

But what really impresses us is that when the charity’s regular chef took a day off, two of Belgarum’s own staff, marketing manager Becky Fisher and sales negotiator Paul Stephens, stepped in.

The pair took over the kitchen for the day and cooked a two-course lunch for 50 people.

Becky said: “It was quite daunting but extremely rewarding and we were taken aback by the gratitude of the clients.”

I think this emphasises that some of the best Agents are the ones with a humble heart of service, both inside and outside the industry. Good on them!
