An igloo was listed for sale by an estate agent in Essex this week for £250,000.
The advert, which was later removed, said the “one bedroom house” was on the fictional “North Pole Road” in Clacton-on-Sea, Essex.
The listing described the igloo as a “great first home”, but warned that it was “showing signs of damp”.
The advert also said the igloo had “room to extend” and was on a “large plot”.
The igloo listing received a few viewing requests, according to Brady Rackham, a partner at estate agents Palmer & Partners.
The Clacton-based agency wanted to spread a little joy with the listing after spotting the impressive igloo in Essex on social media.
Rackham told EYE: “A fantastic local family built this great Igloo and we noticed it on social media.
“We could not let the opportunity pass to let the public see it in all its glory, so we decided to put it on the open market for people to see.
“It created a lot of conversation and made people laugh which at the moment you can’t ask for more than that. It’s a bit of light-hearted fun and something different to advertise on our platforms.”
Good on them for having a laugh in these dark times!
I can’t be certain but I’m sure igloos are round?
