Following publication of today’s lead story we have received a statement from haart CEO Paul Smith:

“We have decided not to re-open 23 physical branches at this stage; however, these areas will be covered by haart Partners working from home or Local Property Centres under our new Partnership scheme.

“We’re not closing our business in these areas, we’re just doing things differently in response to the changing market place.

“In addition, there are four locations where leases have come to an end where we have chosen not to maintain a presence.

“We are also reshaping our senior management team; there will still be 12 roles but with different responsibilities.

“Instead of 12 Regional Partners, there will be 8 Estate Agency Directors and 4 Partnership Directors, all with industry-leading remuneration.

“Existing senior managers will all be offered positions.

“Lettings and Financial Services Directors remain the same.”

Haart has confirmed to EYE that eleven members of staff are involved in a redundancy consultation process.
