New prescribed form introduced for Section 8 notices

Letting agents should be aware that as of yesterday, there is a new prescribed form for Section 8 notices and you should not use the old forms.

Failure to use the new form will mean that a tenant will have a defence to a possession claim, so using the right paperwork will be essential.

    The new form can be found attached to the “Assured Tenancies and Agricultural Occupancies (Forms) (England) Regs 2015” available on the legislation.gov website. Amongst other places.
