Ex Emoov head of marketing launches new product for estate agents

A new Facebook marketing service has been launched by former Emoov head of marketing Stephen Jury.

Tenner is a new marketing service for local businesses, including estate agents, that offers custom Facebook and Google marketing campaigns from £10.

To coincide with the launch, Tenner has produced a report, showing up to 79% of estate agents do not have a Facebook pixel on their website. This, it says, will hamper an estate agent from running Facebook campaigns retargeting people which have visited their website with adverts.

A further 27% of agent websites do not have a Google Analytics tag, so are unlikely to be able to see any traffic numbers or performance data, according to Tenner.

Jury commented: “It is harsh to see so many agents getting muscled out of effective online marketing by Rightmove. With the ever-increasing fees to the portals and new ones launching, I’m sure Facebook advertising is seen as a non-essential cost to some.  I enjoy proving Facebook is a great source of sales leads, over and over again.

“So many agents we speak to want to launch Facebook or Google campaigns, but do not have the time or expertise in their team. But estate agents now have an option to run marketing campaigns for just a tenner.”

Bryan Maher & Co in London has worked with Tenner and are pleased with the early results. The company is now recommending that other agents consider using their service.

Victor Bryan, director at Bryan Maher & Co, commented “We’ve been thinking about using Facebook for a while and Tenner gave us the best option. They’ve been fast to get us set up properly, with some technical work also updated on our website.

“The adverts they created look great and they’re now live across our local area, being seen by thousands of local people.

“Within three days of launching, we had a valuation lead via Facebook for a six-bedroom home and we will be hopefully listing it within the next three weeks. It’s been a fantastic start!”

    This seems like a useful scheme; low cost for agents and potentially high returns.

    I especially like the focus on local, targeting campaigns.

    The EMoov marketing didn’t set the world alight. There was no message, other than “we’re starting a movement” ., On a platform (TV) where most view on-demand, rather than live. Where we fast-forward the ads to get to the content that matters. Not a great endorsement of marketing genius.

    Facebook might seem like a great platform, but like Rightmove, they don’t really care about small advertisers. There’s nothing to stop FB upping the ad cost at any time.

    Ads, ads, ads!!!   They’re past their sell-by-date.
