A consultation on the proposed new anti-money laundering regime for estate agents has been released.

The new consultation is not a public one, but is asking for the opinions of industry bodies and some of the larger agents plus individuals who are seen as experts on the subject.

HMRC is asking for all responses by June 28, which suggests that the new Regulations could follow next month.

The last consultation was a public one, launched in March and which closed on April 12.
