A new TV campaign by the NAEA and ARLA starts today.
The ‘look for the logo’ advert is designed to drive consumers to look for an NAEA or ARLA agent.
The first advert goes out in the Central West area during the ITV early evening news.
Other slots have been booked during Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
The advert can be seen here:

At long last !
The public may now become more aware of the NAEA and ARLA. This is welcome news for many of us who pay our subscriptions and abide by the strict codes of conduct set by these professional bodies.

The public used to know of NAEA and ARLA then along came NFoPP and undid 40 years public awareness along with a decimation of membership.
I liken what went on to an only daughter getting involved with some ne'er-do-well boyfriend who drinks one's Scotch, does unspeakable things to both one's daughter (and wife) then derserts the household leaving it in a right old mess.

So what, it doesn't mean they are better than those that are not members. I can think of more than a few members of both organisations who are very suspect.

Agree with you on the point of some members being "suspect"; and membership not necessarily meaning that members are "better" than non-members. But not the "so what" bit: Oakley said specifically, " This is welcome news for many of us who pay our subscriptions and abide by the strict codes of conduct set by these professional bodies." It is indeed welcome news for the MANY OF US who do…. It's a long-standing gripe of many members that ARLA and NAEA are not doing enough promotion to consumers.

Agreed MF but the this is just another way NAEA put the case that ONLY member agents should be considered and anyone else is dogy …. remember the bee campaign some years back? There are some very good friends who are members of both organisations and very proud to be associated. Its the ones that use the logo that are not good, while some good agents are not members and the inference is that not being a member should be kept clear of.

"At long last !" Well – IF you consider 52 years from coming into existence to potential recognition by a few who may or may not then choose an Agent based upon whether a logo is displayed in an office window crammed full of "Sold" properties, then I guess it is "At LONG last"! But what about the LAST round of TV advertising? No "awareness" from that, Oakley? IF the NAEA hadn't 'lost its way' a few years ago, maybe spending your subs in this way wouldn't have been so necessary. And, IF the association had put their efforts into creating the web portal they should have with PropertyLive, the AM wouldn't have been necessary and NAEA Membership would have pretty much been a 'must'…
Too many 'ifs', I would suggest.
