Last month, 425 estate agency branches joined OneDome’s free listing service as it continues to offer an alternative to pay-to-list portals.
The OneDome Group, which operates listing websites OneDome.com and Nethouseprices.com, reports that it generates up to 1.7 million unique monthly visitors and a total of over 170,000 buyer and tenant leads for agents each month.
OneDome says that it continues to generate up to 80 free buyer and tenant leads each month for its listing partners.
The group is now focusing on growing the volume of valuation instructions for agencies which signed up to its optional ‘Find an Agent’ service, with the ultimate goal of providing each branch with two market appraisals booked per month.
A number of agencies list on its websites, including Andrews Property Group, Arun Estates, Coopers Residential, Hunters, Martyn Gerrard, Robinson Michael & Jackson and Winkworth.

Pray tell why as a private vendor would I bother listing with an EA who can list for free when I as a private citizen can list for free on RM with free.co.uk!!!!!!!???? Come on EA please tell me what you can better than me. All I need is a listing on a major web portal for FREE. I can even have proper photos taken for nothing by free.co.uk
I obtain occupants via spareroom which again is free.
Haven’t paid any occupant find fees for 10 years now!!
I don’t know much about free.co.uk and their relationship with Rightmove, but we don’t allow private listing on our websites. You can ONLY list with OneDome or Nethouseprices if you instruct an estate agent.Regards,Babek (founder of OneDome)
free.co.uk is considered an EA.
Their business model is that they don’t charge private listers like me.
EA are entitled to have whatever business model they like.

I’d be interested to know why any landlord or vendor would want not to employ an agent Paul.
Unless a landlord is to short of anything at all to do or is miserly beyond all comprehension how anyone thinks saving about 16p an hour is worthwhile confuses me.
As for vendors who think not having an agent to get a good deal for them is a saving is beyond me. I can understand some people not liking or resenting estate or letting agents and believes that’s a valid reason not to use an agent but any notion an individual can do a better job than a good agent is daft. There is no argument that makes any sense for not using an agent.
I appreciate just having the argument could be the highlight of someone’s week but I don’t understand that either.

It amazes me that EA believe they can achieve a better price than a private lister.
Just like I don’t need a car dealer to sell a car I don’t need or want an EA acting for me if it costs me.
Do it for free by all means.
Not many EA have such a business model though thete are other ways of operating an EA with charging commission.
Just ask free.co.uk how they operate.
Anyone can now list for fred on a major web portal; some would say THE web portal though I do acxeot that there are a few excellent competitors snapping at the heels of RM.
If course many private listers prefer not to be so and prefsr the alleged comfort blanket of a traditional commission charging EA.

It is CONSUMER choice.
Many EA obviously wish to advocate for the efficacy of their offer
That is fair enough but it doesn’t make it true for all vendors.
Consumers now have the choice.
Whether it would be wise to make a choice awsy from a traditional EA is something that could be debated ad infinitum!!!
What is good is that there is now that choice.
Now down to the consumer to choose bearing in mind the old caveat emotor mantra.
They could well regret NOT using a traditional EA but the converse operates as well.

95% of vendors uses traditional agents and as analysis by Gavin Brazg shows they achieve an average 5% more over portal listers. (£15,000 average)
I probably know more about how each and every business model works than a lot of people, I know the numbers too. Even though I am ex FNAEA with more tech available to me than most saving £114 on a letting or £4000 on a sale doesn’t make any sense at all. (£15000 extra less a £4,000 fee is net £11k more)
Coming on here and EAT telling his competitors how great Free is doesn’t achieve anything for Ray and that reduces your promotion of Free to antagonism. It’s the public who need to know how great the offering is, not the industry it’s trying to change or fit into.
