Moneypenny celebrates agency growth with jumpers

While everyone else was enjoying their Christmas jumpers day last week, telephone answering service Moneypenny was, er, enjoying a Christmas jumpers day in its car park in Wrexham, Wales.

Father Christmas plunged from a giant crane 175 feet high and was joined by brave Moneypenny employees.

The idea (we are told) was to spread the glad tidings that Moneypenny is creating 100 new jobs, including those that will support estate and letting agents.

Moneypenny already answers around 1.2m telephone calls a year for over 850 agents and added four new dedicated teams this year.

Samantha Jones, who is in charge of property, said: “Call volumes to our dedicated property teams are up by 21% this year compared to 2013, and with increased demand predicted, we will see new receptionists added to our teams in the New Year as part of a major recruitment drive.”

Property receptionist Sian Woods was one of those to do a bungee jump – and is pictured in action.

She said: “I was feeling very nervous beforehand, but with the encouragement and cheering of my colleagues, I managed to take the leap of faith and bungee.

“It was quite a surreal experience – first seeing Father Christmas, then one colleague after another flying past our windows.

“I’m heading to our New Zealand office in January with plans to bungee while I’m there, so it was great practice!”

Moneypenny has an office in Auckland to which it sends staff who want the perk of being able to do some travelling while still being able to work and earn money. They service British customers during our night in New Zealand’s daytime.
