The owner of the Bedford branch of Martin & Co has expanded his business following the acquisition of Compass Lettings.

The purchase of the local letting firm has added more than 100 properties to the Bedford office’s managed portfolio.

Two members of staff from Compass will also join Shahid Miah and his team at the office on Loyes Street.

Miah, who was a branch director of Santander prior to purchasing Martin & Co Bedford, said: “The acquisition became a possibility through some great local contacts and the increase to our managed portfolio will offer not only additional income but also two experienced members of staff in the local area.

“This will enable us to continue to provide Compass’ landlords and our existing clients with a best-in-class service – a win-win for those landlords, their tenants and our business.”

Miah was supported through the acquisition process by The Property Franchise Group’s (TPFG) head office team.
