Marsh & Parsons set to open its 27th office – selling homes for free

London agent Marsh & Parsons will be opening a new office on Monday.

The location, in Upper Street, Islington, is where rival Foxtons has a large presence.

The new office will be the third Marsh & Parsons outlet in north London, and is the firm’s fourth new opening in 20 months. It brings the total of branches to 27.

The Islington team is offering local home owners a 0% fee on any property sales in the first three months of opening. It describes this as a significant discount from the standard 2% commission, which could save local sellers an average of £16,348 on their sale.

David Brown, chief executive at LSL-owned Marsh & Parsons, said: “We are thrilled to be reinforcing our concentration of offices in north and east London. Our story may have begun in Kensington, but after our recent phase of expansion we are now represented at all four points of the compass in London.

“Our 0% commission offer has proved to be a successful way to introduce ourselves to previous neighbourhoods and we are looking forward to meeting our new Islington customers in September.”
