Man handed suspended sentence after burgling estate agency twice

A burglar has been handed a suspended sentence after targeting an estate agency, as well as an elderly home care service.

Scott Robinson, 44, of Thompson House, Atherton, was charged for three burglaries, carried out between August and October last year.

Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court heard how Robinson had burgled estate agent Arc Homes on Market Street, Atherton, twice.

The first incident occurred on 24 August, when he stole two portable heaters worth a total of £200, and the second time on 11 October when he stole envelopes containing keys to a property.

He also burgled Home Instead in early August, stealing a laptop worth in the region of £500.

After pleading guilty, Robinson was sentenced to 26 months in prison, suspended for 18 months, by magistrates.
