Regional firm acquires two-office independent in retirement sale

Well known west country agent Greenslade Taylor Hunt has acquired Chanin and Thomas, which was established in 1914 and has two branches in Somerset at Williton and Minehead.

The sum has not been disclosed.

The previous owner of Chanin and Thomas, John Adicott, is retiring, and wanted to secure the future for his business and the staff.

He said: “I feel confident that the respected name of Chanin and Thomas will continue in safe hands.”

Greenslade Taylor Hunt will add the new offices to its 17 outlets throughout Devon, Dorset and Somerset, and traces its roots back over 170 years.

Partner Tony Overill said: “We look forward to working with the staff at Chanin and Thomas and meeting clients old and new.”
