Local agent becomes appointed representative of national online firm

A regional online estate agent is expanding via a partnership with national onliner Doorsteps.

My House Online covers Norfolk and Suffolk and was launched by ex-Countrywide negotiator Inna Melnyk.

She originally launched My House Online to specialise in properties for first-time buyers and investors.

She says that the firm “wasn’t a total success to begin with” because of the expense of portals and other providers.

However, she has now set up partnerships, including being an official representative of Doorsteps.

All sales properties listed on her site are now also on Doorsteps, and hence on Rightmove, with vendors charged £199.

The lettings side of the business – which she has been chiefly concentrating on until now – is linked to the National Landlords Association, for which she is an official representative in Norfolk and Suffolk.

The lettings business, which is entirely that of My House Online, charges landlords 8% for full management.

My House Online is currently offering discounts for both Doorsteps and the NLA.

Melnyk, 38, a mother of three, says she is keen to develop a niche business in which she concentrates more on customer care than listing a large volume of properties.

“I want to keep it small but deliver excellent customer service,” she said.

She has now taken on two members of staff.

Access to Rightmove via the back doorstep. Hard to see that lasting long before Rightmove increases the fee.

This is a good idea for anyone not on Rightmove.

If they are struggling to sale a property then they can market it with Doorstep for £199 without paying Rightmove their exorbitant fees!!!!
