Letting agents invited to report on health of the sector

Letting agents are invited to take part in an annual survey compiled by maintenance reporting software supplier Fixflo.

The aim of the report is to build a picture of the health of the lettings sector, with previous research showing half of agents have had landlords change agency due to a repair-related issue.

This year Fixflo is also launching a landlord survey, designed in a similar way to gauge the opinions and habits of landlords throughout the UK’s private rental sector.

The results of that survey will be incorporated into the main Fixflo report.

Last year’s report, based on responses from 400 agents, listed the fees ban as the biggest challenge and found requests for repairs were on the rise.

This year’s survey runs until August 31 and entrants can win one of ten £50 Amazon vouchers for taking part.

Rajeev Nayyar, managing director of Fixflo, said: “With the situation in the wider lettings industry constantly changing, this is a key insight into what agents are feeling about developments like the Tenant Fees Bill and the effect of General Data Protection Regulations.

“We encourage as many people as possible to complete the survey to help us compile the fullest possible picture about the current state of the industry.”
