Landlord Action, the eviction and housing law specialist, has updated its logo and launched a new website, which is now live.

Landlord Action, which joined Hamilton Fraser in 2017, covers landlords from protecting against poor service by their letting agent to helping them get their property back in the event of non-payment of rent or other tenancy issues.

The last two years have certainly been turbulent for landlords, with eviction suspensions and extended notice periods. Since the ban on bailiff enforced evictions ended, the number of renters being evicted has increased and Landlord Action predict that in 2022 possession figures will at least double those seen in 2020 and 2021.

“Supporting landlords in stressful times is what we do,” said Paul Shamplina, founder of Landlord Action and chief commercial officer at Hamilton Fraser. “Our business has evolved, and our team has grown to deal with the effects of the pandemic and changes in the market. We will continue to manage the rise in possessions, whilst also broadening our focus to encompass the more complex legal issues facing landlords in today’s market, given the shift of power in the tenant’s favour.”

He continued: “Going forward, our services will become more and more important to landlords as the economy gradually unlocks following a tough winter.

“Now was the right time for change as we celebrate the transformation of Landlord Action over the years and the work we are doing in challenging times. The refreshed branding is a fitting reflection of where the company is at in 2022.”

As part of its expansion, Landlord Action welcomed new leadership last year. Paul Sowerbutts, a qualified solicitor with 20 years’ extensive knowledge of housing within the private and social sectors, joined the team. As Head of Legal, Paul will oversee the transformation of the business as it moves towards handling more complex legal cases, whilst maintaining a competitive and efficient fixed fee eviction service.

Sowerbutts said: “This fantastic new rebrand is the next step in Landlord Action’s move towards offering a one-stop shop for all of a landlord’s legal services.”
