Jupix outages ‘have been resolved’

An agent in the Home Counties contacted EYE yesterday morning to say that for the second time in a week they were unable to access their Jupix CRM.

Having apparently not received a response from the company they asked if we could find out what is happening.

Happy to oblige, we contacted Jupix’ owners.

A Zoopla spokeperson said:

“Following two unrelated errors at our hosting provider a small number of customers had intermittent access to Jupix.

“We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this caused and assure our customers that the errors have been resolved.”

Shame they speak to PIE but not their customers. Jupix you need a customer care strategy because you kept us in the dark with no response.

There is no ‘Jupix’, it’s been owned by Zoopla for a number of years now, but the system has been left to completely languish as all efforts are on Alto. Staffing wise they have bearly any dedicated Jupix staff and none of the original team or programmers are there any longer so it’s no surprise this happened and the risks of outages and bugs will only increase. Better move to Alto guys or make the move to Reapit. The response as usual from Zoopla is very poor, blaming the hosting provider, yeah sure! And saying a small number of users… no it was the majority, just ask their support staff who will tell you the truth. The more concerning thing here though is that if Zooola can’t tell the truth about a small incident like this, that tells you a lot about the people running it and how they will handle future issues. That statement to the press would have been vetted by Charlie and the motive is to downplay and defuse the reality.

Such a shame, this, as I was always a big fan of Jupix, but like anything else, software systems can, and do, date very quickly when little development is forthcoming.

I currently use Loop Software, which was founded by, and is still owned by, Jupix’s founder. If you’re unhappy, consider looking at that. It’s more modern, obviously, and still retains some of the Jupix-isms, so to me anyway, it feels very familiar.

3 comments doesn’t sound like a lot of customers. Just saying. Jupix like Rightmove were first movers, but both are stale and legacy products. Best move with the times and move to a new CRM. Winman is also old hat. Reapit, Dezrez, ten-ninety, and payprop are all options, but Alto is light years ahead, and will no doubt integrate with the Zoopla portal and hometrack at some point
