Jackson-Stops has confirmed that its London business has been bought by Dexters.
Nick Leeming, chairman at Jackson-Stops, said: “The acquisition of 11 London and Surrey based Jackson-Stops branches has now been completed by the Dexters Group.
“This deal represents a very exciting new phase for the London business and we are very pleased to welcome Dexters as a partner in the Jackson-Stops brand.
“The London offices will continue to operate under the Jackson-Stops name.”
Dexters previously operated under a variety of brands as it made various acquisitions across London, but in 2016 had a ‘tidying up’ operation, ditching 20 brands in favour of just one – its own – name.
It looks as though it is making an exception with its latest purchase of a business with its own highly prestigious brand.
Jackson-Stops has also announced expansion in the south-east with the launch of a new branch in Lindfield, Sussex.
It is headed up by two agents who had been with the Jackson-Stops London business –Toby Whittome, former director of the Chelsea branch, and Guy Kelsey, the former sales and acquisitions manager for prime central London.
Kelsey, left, and Whittome have over 40 years of estate agency experience between them.
