Is this what the rental market has come to (and it’s a portal asking the question)

A landlord of a property in London is using a portal to advertise beds, rather than bedrooms.

The photo shows three beds crammed into one room, in a five-bedroom flat in London.

Each bed is advertised at £303, making rent for each room – which would be shared by strangers – in the property over £900 per month.

A spokesperson for the website, easyroommate, said: “The situation in London is getting out of control.

“Landlords are taking advantage of desperate tenants.”

The spokesperson said it is thought that the landlord in this case may also be an agent.

The property in question, which offers strangers no privacy, is in Stratford, east London.
