Two international estate agency brands have announced further expansion into key global markets, with Fine & Country entering Madrid and Chestertons launching operations in India.
Fine & Country Spain has signed a new licence in the Spanish capital, marking the brand’s first presence in the city. The office will be led by architect Alejandra Santos and Carlos Rojo, a Spanish entrepreneur and chief executive of Madrid restaurant group Lamonarracha.
Chris Hara, chief executive of Fine & Country Spain, said: “Launching in Madrid is a landmark moment for Fine & Country Spain. This is a hugely important step for the brand, as it marks the first Fine & Country office to open in the capital.
“Our relationship with Alejandra and her family has been built over many years through trust, professionalism and shared values, and we are delighted to now welcome both Alejandra and Carlos as sub-licensees.”
The Madrid office will focus on high-end residential sales and lettings.
Chestertons Global, meanwhile, has entered the Indian market through a strategic arrangement with BSE-listed advisory firm Justo Realfintech. The partnership will see the creation of Chestertons India Private Limited as a wholly owned subsidiary of Justo, operating exclusively under the Chestertons brand.
The expansion takes the Chestertons network to more than 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, the Americas and Asia.
Mohamed Mussa, managing director of Chestertons Global, said: “India is one of the most compelling real estate growth stories globally, and we have been looking closely at this market for some time.
“In Justo, we have found a partner with strong local credibility and a disciplined approach to advisory – exactly the kind of firm that thrives within the Chestertons network.”
The India business will target premium and super-premium segments, including residential sales, commercial leasing, cross-border investment advisory, capital markets services and hospitality, drawing on Justo’s local network and Chestertons’ international platform.
Pushpamitra Das, chairman and managing director of Justo Realfintech, said operating under the Chestertons brand would provide “access to an established international network and globally recognised standards of advisory practice”.
