High street agent’s branded online offering to industry gaining ground

A high street agent’s solution to being able to offer a separately branded online offering is gaining ground in the industry.

Love2move was launched in February as a new online estate agency brand by Lancashire estate agent MovingWorks.

It allows local high street estate agents to offer fixed price online property sales of £895.

The concept sits alongside the traditional agent’s existing offering, but is aimed at a different market, using an internet platform that can be accessed from anywhere, any time.

The dating agency style of the website combines the functions of Rightmove and Tinder, adopting the Tinder methodology of swipe and select.

They can then communicate directly with the seller through an instant online chat function.

Love2move says it has now signed up 11 companies, with 16 branches between them.

This month alone, six businesses were brought on board, four of them within a single week.

Mark Worrall, sales director of love2move, said: “Having the love2move concept endorsed by more and more like-minded traditional agents shows that all our hard work and investment is beginning to pay off.

“We originally envisaged having 12 sign-ups in our first year, but we already have 11, demonstrating that there is a business model that allows agents to offer both online and traditional services without one eroding the other.”

He said that by using love2move, sellers have the “comfort” of their property value being verified by an experienced local agent who will advise on the price that will generate maximum return and a speedy sale, with access to further support, if required, as their sale progresses.

Agents can also generate additional income over the fixed fee by tailoring their service offering according to a customer’s requirements and budget.

Ouch. The Which survey a little while ago showed ‘portals alone’ only achieved 43% of solds.

Even the current gov research is showing public want more than online only.
