Hamptons International, part of Countrywide, has announced the launch of a new short lets department.
The service covers the entire Hamptons network, but with a specialist focus on London.
The firm says it has been introduced to meet the growing demand from corporate organisations looking to accommodate staff, as well as individuals looking for temporary rental accommodation and who do not want to stay in hotels.
Rental agreements offered by the new service range from a few weeks to six months.
Current listings include an apartment in Covent Garden at £2,750 per week and a waterside bungalow in Windsor at £480 per week.
Hamptons has had previous experience with lets.
The firm provided the accommodation for the X Factor finalists in 2013.
It has also organised short lets for the casts and crew of film productions that have taken place across the capital.
The new department is headed by Elliott Tooley who said that offering the service had become “a necessity in today’s residential property market”.
Lesley Cairns, head of lettings, said: “We have noticed a significant rise in demand for short-term accommodation not only in the capital, but also across the rest of the UK amongst corporate and private tenants.
“We are proud to have a new and dedicated in-house team who can assist clients nationwide as they search for a short-term home from home.”
