Half a minute! That’s all it takes for some buyers to decide on a home

An astonishing 26% of home buyers make their decision to purchase within 30 seconds of entering the property.

A further 8% decide even before going in.

Only one in six purchasers (17%) need a second viewing before deciding to buy.

The findings are part of research released today by conveyancing firm My Home Move – which may, or may not, tally with estate agents’ experiences of viewings.

The survey also found that gazumping is responsible for 17% of purchasers not being able to buy the property.
