haart has opened a new flagship branch in Nottingham city centre as it looks to expand its sales and lettings operations.

The estate agency has relocated its 20-strong team from Upper Parliament Street to larger premises in Lace Market Square.

The Sheriff of Nottingham, Cllr Audrey Dinnall, officially opened the branch on Thursday (15 October).

The new office spans two floors and provides additional space for staff as the business plans further recruitment.

The move follows three consecutive years of growth for haart’s Nottingham lettings operation. The agency now manages more than 450 properties.

As a result, haart has increased its lettings team from three to five employees. A separate three-strong property management team also operates from the branch.

Emma Collishaw

Emma Collishaw, haart’s estate agency area partner, has worked at the Nottingham office for 17 years. She spent 15 of those years as branch manager.

The relocation also has a personal connection for Collishaw. Both her parents worked in Nottingham’s lace industry.

She said: “We’ve built a very successful business in Nottingham over many years, and this move is about building on what the team has already achieved.”

Collishaw added: “The Lace Market is a great location for the next stage of that journey.”

Landlords returning to the market

Andy Townsend, area director for haart Lettings, said the firm had seen increased activity among landlords and property investors.

“We’ve seen considerable growth over the past three years, both in the number of landlords we work with and the size of our lettings book,” he said.

“Nottingham is one of our top-performing offices and we’ve increased the lettings team to support that growth.”

Townsend also reported renewed interest from landlords.

“We’re seeing landlords returning to the market and existing investors looking at opportunities to grow their portfolios,” he said.

haart said the new location brings the business closer to Nottingham’s city-centre apartment market. The branch will also continue covering surrounding residential areas.

The firm plans to recruit additional staff as it expands its Nottingham operation.
