Floorplan provider Metropix is developing a tablet-enabled app version.

The business, which won an ESTA for ‘best in sector’ in April and is part of the Daily Mail and General Trust, said it continues to the industry’s leading floorplan provider, with the number of plans it produces still growing.

However, it has confirmed that both Countrywide and Reeds Rains are no longer using the service and are instead using their own bespoke systems.

Rachel Brookes, product manager at Metropix, said: “As we reach our 10th anniversary this year we have seen how some agents change between using in-house systems and a floor planning service like Metropix.

“Both Countrywide and Reeds Rains are currently following an IT approach of in-house development; equally, we have seen clients try this in the past and return when they hit barriers such as staff training and/or increased expenditure.

“Many Reed Rains franchises who aren’t governed by their group IT are still choosing to use Metropix, which is a positive statement for our service.

“The most important thing for us at Metropix is to continue to support our customers and offer the best service we can. We have a development plan designed in response to the key changes our customers want to see and one of these new features will indeed be a tablet enabled version.”
