Lomond has continued its acquisition drive with another deal in the Midlands.

The group has bought the residential lettings and property management arm of Nottingham agency FHP Living.

Lomond will transfer the acquired business into John Shepherd, its main brand across the Midlands.

The deal expands John Shepherd’s presence in Nottingham and West Bridgford. It also adds a growing student lettings operation.

The companies did not disclose the financial terms.

The acquisition does not include FHP Living’s residential sales and development consultancy. That business will continue trading from its West Bridgford office.

Jules Hunt and Jason Cook will lead the remaining FHP Living operation.

The deal marks another expansion by Lomond as consolidation continues across the estate and letting agency sector. Nottingham remains a key market for the group’s growth strategy.

FHP Living lettings joins John Shepherd

David Hargreaves, John Proctor and Brian Fisher founded FHP Living in 2000.

The business began as a residential development advisory firm in Nottingham’s Lace Market. It later expanded into sales, lettings and property management.

Following the deal, director Luke Pritchett will remain with the acquired lettings business.

Paul Clarke, chief revenue officer at Lomond, said: “FHP Living represents exactly the kind of business we seek to bring on board – business-minded, locally trusted and client-focused.

“Their ability to offer a wide range of property services in the Nottingham area, backed by strong client and staff loyalty, is a testament to the strength of their model.

“By combining their local expertise with the scale of John Shepherd and the wider Group, we’re creating a business that’s better equipped to support landlords through the sector’s ongoing regulatory evolution.

“I am looking forward to working with Luke and his incredible team to serve our Nottingham clients.”

David Hargreaves, founding director of FHP Living, added: “For more than 20 years, our focus has been on building meaningful relationships and delivering a service our clients can rely on.

“Joining John Shepherd and Lomond gives those clients and our team access to the resources and opportunities of a larger group, while keeping the local presence and trust we’ve built over two decades.”

Pritchett added: “For our clients, this is about building on what’s already working.

“With John Shepherd and Lomond behind us, we have more tools, more expertise, and more support to draw on – which means landlords will get an even stronger service as the market keeps changing.

“I’m looking forward to being part of that for our clients going into the next chapter.”
