Fancy yourself as an investigator? NTSEALT is recruiting

Powys County Council has placed an advertisement in the recruitment pages of The Guardian seeking an Investigator to join the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency team

The job spec says that the role is, “To work with the Operations Manager to deliver the aims and objectives of the National Trading Standards Estate and Letting Agency team on behalf of Powys County Council and Bristol City Council, in conjunction with National Trading Standards across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.”.

The location of the post, which is a full-time temporary contract, is described as “Homeworking/Agile” and the salary scale is £30,507 to £32,029 per annum .

The closing date for applications is 28th May

Perhaps NTSEALT should have used the pages of EYE to advertise the post to the estate agency world.

After all, they say it takes one to catch one…

Nah – everything points to this being a job that’s not cut out for me.

Firstly – it’s a secondment. Kinda stopped the Application process dead at that point.

Just as well, really – reading down the Job Description:

      13.  I can, or am prepared to learn within a reasonable time period, how to pronounce Welsh personal and place-names correctly, and I can give and respond to basic greetings on the telephone or in person.

You just know I’d greet everyone with “OGGY… OGGY… OGGY…”

Can’t abide Gavin and Stacey in any event.  I’ll look elsewhere.
