Winkworth’s latest UK office has opened in Reading, Berkshire – bringing the number of offices to 99.

The office is owned and operated by Jon Hallett,  who ran his own successful company, Jon Hallett & Co, which he sold a couple of years ago, and Michael Foldvari, previously of Davis Tate and who has also worked for Hallett before.

The two said that the importance Reading as a commuter town will be emphasised with the new Crossrail.

Winkworth is also to open a new office in Guadalmina, near Marbella, Spain.

The office will be owned and operated by Bernard Vent, who is also a Winkworth director in Dulwich, London.

Vent said: “Having owned a property in this area of Spain for many years, it’s been my ambition to open a Winkworth office here in order to bring a different approach to property in the region.

“Drawing on the strength of the Winkworth network, we intend to help UK buyers to find their perfect property in Spain, whilst delivering the service and results clients deserve.

“We understand that buying a property in Spain may be a daunting prospect, whether it’s the language barrier, the foreign laws or the legal documentation, so we will be able to support clients through the whole process in order to help secure their perfect home.”
