Estate agent saves man from axe attack – ‘his hands were covered in blood’

A brave estate agent has described how he stepped in to help stop a frenzied axe attack in south London.

The agent, based in Crystal Palace, grappled with an axe-wielding man who stabbed the manager of a local Poundstretcher store.

The agent told My London that an argument broke out between the attacker and the store manager over a refund.

He said: “It all happened so quickly. I heard them arguing about a refund and then the whole place was covered in blood.

“[The victim] got up after being assaulted but his hands were covered in blood.

“I managed to get the attacker off of him and just wanted to make sure he was ok. He would have done that [the same] for anyone. He is a nice, level-headed guy who takes pride in his work, so this is a bit alarming.

“There were lots of female staff and children looking a bit traumatised.”

The Poundstretcher employee was treated for “significant” injuries to his face and hands and was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service paramedics. Police are still looking for the attacker.

A spokesperson for the company said: “The injuries sustained by our colleague are significant but not life threatening.

“We are providing support to our colleague and are thankful to the general public for assisting in stopping the brutal, unprovoked attack with a hatchet which we have no doubt stopped a fatal injury.

“We will continue ongoing support for our colleague and to his family.

“Knife crime has very serious consequences and we must all work together to stop it.”

A very courageous man. Is it me, or do these attacks seem almost normal in London?

It’s not normal but for certain parts of London, it is more than normal, like Crystal Palace.

The  British  joke of a justice ]sic]  system,  or  more aptly,  not the  Criminal Justice system,  but  the    #WokeJusticeSystem   is Not  doing enough to deal with violence and weapon attacks. –  Just look  at the stabbings in London,  while the Wokes  Pontificate on the political-correctness of who to Stop and Search (  meanwhile,  mostly Black teenagers are Dying !   )

The  Wokes  can’t see the wood for the trees  !

Still,  nice to hear another positive story about Letting Agents,   you only tend to hear the bad side.  as usual.

Well whatever your view on the criminal justice system, violent attacks  are on the  increase this does seem to show a wider malaise in society as a whole  and people living on the edge .

They certainly awarded some long sentences for  those who engaged in the Bristol disturbanacesso didn’t hold back  there

This  particular violent outburst was over a refund !

Whether increasing Stop and Search is likely to deter that is another matter

The old slogan springs to mind “Tough on crime, tough on the causes of crime “.
