Estate agency moves into historic Bank Chambers premises

Sowerbys in King’s Lynn has relocated to a historic premises, Bank Chambers, on the Tuesday Market Place.

The Norfolk-based property firm has restored the prominent grade II listed building on the square.

Sowerbys King’s Lynn was previously located at number 1 King Street, but opted to move to a larger premises to accommodate its expanding team.

Lex Hastings, Lynn branch manager, said: “I speak on behalf of the entire team when I say, we are very proud and excited to be moving to a building of such history and prominent location within the town.

“Sowerbys is known for restoring listed buildings, sympathetically creating unique spaces for customers and staff to enjoy. Bank Chambers is no exception, and I truly cannot wait to show clients and customers the intriguing local history we have uncovered in this iconic building.”

The building, which was empty for a number of years, has been restored by a team of local professionals.

Hastings added: “Bank Chambers combines this space while continuing to fulfil our mission to support local. Being a part of the high street and local community is an integral part of our business ethos.

“We recognise those who have called our town home before us and we take huge pride in not only recognising that heritage, but in writing our own history and ensuring the spirit of our town lives on for generations to come.

    Make the daunting process of meeting and communicating face-to-face with property professionals to seek advice, even more daunting by moving it to the most intimidating building you can find – genius!!
