A sign of the times as estate agency boards firm Kremer gets set to triple production

Estate agency boards manufacturer firm Kremer Signs has invested £750,000 in new machinery that will more than triple its hourly production output and halve lead times.

The firm currently prints at the rate of 100 boards per hour, but with the introduction of two new top-of-the-range printers, costing £375,000 each, output will be 340 boards per hour.

Kremer, which acquired 385 new estate agency customers last year, says it is currently working on a ten to 14-day lead time to produce boards.

Once the new printers are installed, in February, lead times will be reduced to five to seven working days.

Kremer Signs last year opened a new facility in Newbury, Berkshire, enabling it to hold raw material in the form of over 100,000 sheets of Correx and 25,000 timber posts, enabling it to satisfy high demand without the requirement to wait on raw materials.

Also last year, the firm bought Bristol based company Site Signs.
