Peter Atkinson joins Savills as a director at the firm’s Newcastle office

Savills has added to its investment team with the appointment of Peter Atkinson who joins as a director at the firm’s Newcastle office.

Atkinson has more than 13 years’ experience working in the property industry across several different regions including Manchester, Leeds, London and Newcastle. He joins Savills from Cushman & Wakefield where he was commercial investment lead for the North East.

At Savills Atkinson will work closely with the national investment division, which has established regional capital market teams across the UK, to develop a leading North East investment presence working across all asset classes. He will also help to grow the Newcastle office’s multi-disciplinary offer, alongside its existing management, development, land, planning and valuation capability.

Atkinson commented: “I am very much looking forward to the challenge of creating a market leading investment team here in the North East, strengthening Savills already extensive national reach.”

e.surv appoints Steve Goodall as MD

e.surv chartered surveyors has appointed Steve Goodall as its new managing director.

The former chief executive of ULS Technology PLC and MD of Legal & General Surveying Services (LGSS) brings with him a wealth of industry experience to his new role. In recognition of his contribution to the property industry, Goodall was awarded an honorary Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Fellowship in 2012.

In his new role Goodall will be responsible for leading e.surv through the ongoing pandemic.

The company will continue to provide both remote and physical valuations in 2021, while maintaining its commitment to prioritise the safety and wellfare of its customers, employees and the wider public.

e.surv’s former managing director, Jane Cross, will be taking on a new role helping to drive Group strategy for LSL Property Services. Cross and Goodall have begun a comprehensive handover which will continue as Jane begins her new role within LSL.

Masthaven announces promotions and adds to leadership team

Masthaven Bank has continued to add to its leadership team with the announcement of the promotions of Shelley Connelly and Sabahe Mrizag to director level.

Connelly, former head of underwriting has been promoted to director of mortgage lending. In her new role, she will be responsible for the strategic direction of Masthaven’s residential and buy-to-let mortgage lending activities, whilst continuing to oversee the day-to-day running of lending operations.

Mrizag has been promoted to director of business information. She will be responsible for the strategic direction of Masthaven’s business intelligence and data analysis function to provide insight into business operations.

These latest promotions reinforce Masthaven’s commitment to championing female talent. The bank launched its Women in Leadership programme in 2020 in partnership with WDI Consulting, with an aim to shape leadership strategy and ensure women are represented at all levels.
