New venture for south coast agents

Two estate agents on the Sussex coast have taken the leap to the self-employed agency model.

Chris Trott & Phil Cole have teamed up with Keller Williams and created their new estate agency, ‘Coast & Country Real Estate’. They will be part of one of Keller Williams newer market centres based at Gatwick, operated by Lars Evans and Daren Cridge. The Gatwick office already has 26 agents.

Chris Trott is ex Leaders Romans and Phil Cole was with Symonds Reading in Worthing.

Trott said: “We are delighted to be part of the largest real estate company in the world. By being part of Keller Williams has enabled us to realise a dream of having our own estate agency, while at the same time having the support and training of some of the best in the industry.”

Lars Evans says “We have been amazed at our growth and the calibre of Agents and Non Agents that have joined us and have hit the ground running. The welcome arrival of Chris and Phil will not only boost our presence on the south coast but will give us and our agents the opportunity to work alongside two remarkable and experienced Agents”

Always a danger under a lame  duck administration (Countrywide) that some of the heavyweights like Peter Everett  becoming  impatient  and leave to pastures new.

Hamptons outside London have picked up considerably since the easing of lockdown . Hamptons also  lost 2 ladies from their Bath office .

Now time for Long & Creffield to get the succession in place before the slow drip of escaping talent becomes a torrent.

Good luck to the new KW recruits. KW have been slow to conquer the UK .
Hopefully they  have better success  than Purplebricks had with trying to conquer  the USA  .However there again  they were not blessed with the PR skillsets of Headphones Quirk.

Two experienced agents giving up the security of established local offices to take up the promise of better working hours and oodles of cash as we head into one of the biggest recessions in history.

Brave or naive …. Time will tell, i hope it works out for them but sadly i think we all know the end result.
