Century 21 chalks up another office opening

A new Century 21 office has opened, after an existing letting agent expanded into sales and rebranded.

Roy and Sue Cook, of Pelham Property Services in Ilkeston, Derbyshire, are now trading as Century 21 Pelham Property Services.

The couple have run their business for 15 years alongside a property management company in Orlando, Florida, where Sue is a licensed realtor with Century 21.

Roy Cook said that it made sense to rebrand their UK business as Century 21 to link the two offices and give more scope for expansion.

It also means they can offer ancillary services such as conveyancing, mortgage advice and surveys via Century 21 UK’s parent company, the Shepherd Direct Group.

Century 21 has a global network of over 7,000 offices in 77 countries. Shepherd Direct acquired the licence to run the business in the UK in April 2013.

In the UK, there are now 41 offices open with four more likely to launch over the next month.

From the C21 website: "With agents throughout the United Kingdom and British Overseas Territories you are never too far away from a CENTURY 21 Agent, where you can take advantage of our great range of services." Nearest one I can find to me is in Halifax – that's 131 miles from a property I valued this week. I turned down the instruction, so they're on the lookout for a keen Agent – and these guys are obviously up for taking us all on. Will they do accompanied viewings on an inclusive basis I wonder? – Client's quite happy he tells me to pay a whole 1% on an asking price of £45000… ;o)
