And here are a couple more contenders.

Staff at Page & Wells in Maidstone, Kent, must get a real lift out of going to work each day when it involves such a lovely building, above.

It dates from the 16th century, is Grade Two listed and was bought in the 1960s by the company, which itself has been going since 1929.

Originally, the building was two shops, next to what was the county jail.

We also like the look of Alexanders in Aberystwyth, Wales, both pictures below.

The gorgeous interior has undeniable wow factor.
