Brandon Weston, former owner of Premier Places, an agency in Worcester, has escaped a driving ban.
The local paper says that Weston, who “used money paid in for his 203 tenants as deposits to finance other businesses instead of ring-fencing it”, found himself in court again.
Weston, who was given a two-year suspended sentence in September 2011 after admitting four counts of fraud, had 12 points on his driving licence.
He had been clocked driving a Ford Focus at 45mph in a 30mph limit last October.
However, this week he successfully persuaded the district judge that a ban would cause him and his family hardship.
He told the court he now worked as a franchise consultant for a local franchise company.
This is understood to be HomeXperts, an award-winning estate agency and letting agency franchise headquartered in Worcester.
