Boomin puts on confidential webinars for Say no to Rightmove supporters

Readers will recall that at the end of August, Rob Sargent told Say no to Rightmove supporters that the Bruce brothers’ latest venture, Boomin, might be a ‘game changer’.

It seems Sargent’s enthusiasm for the project continues – and is being reciprocated by the challenger portal.

An anonymous source sent EYE this copy of an email from SNTR to its supporters. It’s a notably smart presentation.

We approached the campaign for more details but were told that the webinars are private and subject to confidentiality agreements.

Say No To Rightmove – Sargent updates members – and might back Boomin

Looks like it’s bounce back  time for the Bruces

Fair play you have to hand it to them they certainly present well .Champions League.

    Talking of which .

Also a welcome change of luck for Sporting Ken and his ‘orses

Not 1 but 2 winners last week !. One over the sticks and the other on the flat. Also welcome change  for former prof.footballer  Mick “Sumo “Quinn his trainer where he is almost a private trainer for Sporting who has 11 horses in training .Before last week Sumo only had 1  winner for the season

Sumo concerned that Sporting might be sending him over to N.Ireland  unless he hit winning ways  to take charge of bringing out the oranges  at half time at Sporting’s  football club Larne  his other great passion -football

This change of luck has coincided from  Sporting changing his racing colours from PURPLE  to YELLOW  as  a final  parting of the ways from Purplebricks.I wonder if Boomin company colours are going to be yellow themed ?

One of his horse winning was aptly named Pink Sheets .FT? I wonder if Boomin  are already considering a float ?.Maybe another frothy report  by Hardmans like Bricks and the whole merry dance starts again..

You have one Brucy Bonus who kicked the industry in the ba*** now trying to get that very industry to support Boomin.

You have another, not so Sargeant like…. is getting the industry to say no to RM, yet he is still advertising with RM.  All I say Rob – take action and send your cancellation notice to RM this morning.

Everybody else – have a great Friday.

So have these emails already been sent out to all SNTR members?  I dont believe we’ve received one yet …..

Possibly something to play in the background when your Rightmove rep comes in for your token annual “negotiation”…..

Is there a Boomin window advertising set available set for when they walk in as well?

Wow. Rob… you’re now promoting the Bruce brothers new venture!?

You do remember how they are probably just as unpopular and most certainly did not care about traditional agents, almost, if not more than Rightmove does, right?

Why should we support these geezers when they have tried to destroyed our businesses….

Surely you should be supporting OTM Rob? OTM is the key here. Not Kenny Bruce.

When is your agency leaving Rightmove Rob?

Never mind say no to Rightmove ! The sooner this data grabbing, pretend Portal is killed off the better. This is the last thing Agents need, a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist !

Surely the brothers have not lost their Purple stripes….. Boomin is just PB v 2?  Build a portal, and get all those dumb agents to list…. harvest all their data then do a Zillow….simples?

I do hope people are not going to have short memories where this is concerned.

But in an indirect way they could help. The more big players there are at the table then the less of a monopoly Rightmove will have. Just need another 3/4 of them and agents will have a choice, and have to choose.  Buyers will also be inconvenienced – no longer can they only go to Rightmove. Bingo!! The agent becomes worth more.

All I can say is, when Michael Bruce showed me the presentation himself, my jaw dropped, the juices started flowing and I realised that agents and the public alike are in for a real treat with Boomin, which takes the whole concept of “portal” (and it’s much more than that) to an extraordinary level. This is very much a space to watch in the coming weeks and months and definitely not a time to be putting one’s head in the sand.

Stop supporting Boomin – you are better than this Richard – disassociate yourself from them.

Put the past  to one side  if you can and understand that Messrs Bruce have learned lessons from Purplebricks that they can apply to Boomin.

This is now declared competition for Rightmove therefore it could be either competition or collaborator with Zoopla and OTM.

The reality of all this sentiment, for or agains,t is what are  David and David going to do, what is Paul going to do, what about Dorian or  Gareth?   Your competition will decide whether you do Boomin or not so from that respect its Agents Mutual 2.

I can be agnostic about Boomin but  I think whatever it is or does will force Rightmove to respond with a review of the subscriptions their lack of innovation  for  the past  10 or 12 years but mostly the intransigent attitude of  some staff

    Certainly fantastic salesmen par  excellance

Difficult  to trump  getting  someone like the established goldplated  Axel Springer to fund a £100m+_dice roll  on a global expansion when they hadn’t even turned a profit at home

Not only that but to take out their shareholdings too  for a similar amount ranks as one of the deals of the decade

The Teutonics now left with Vic and his gadgets

I guess the lesson learned from those who have  dealt with the Bruces at Bricks is

“The magic trick to make people disappear is to ask them to fulfil their promises “

We’ll see how it plays out….

Needs to be monumentally good and totally transparent …..as the Bruce Bros are as tainted as Chernobyl.

The “cloak & dagger” phase already underway (tick), hype (tick), external mouthpieces engaged & promoting under the “we’re not promoting label” (tick) ……just waiting for the Bruce Bros sitting by a crackling coal fire, softly spoken, stating they were really “misunderstood” after their Purplebricks PR that PB were here to save the world from nasty estate agents?!

    Think…. Boomin!?

Think…. Ewan MacGregor reaching out of that toilet in Trainspotting – You get the Picture!

Let’s turn off the lights, the noise, the pr ……lets see what we are really getting? Let’s see the standing barefooted version of Boomin.

Rode past a “Strike”? Board in North Yorkshire yesterday, on route to the Covid Counties for a motorcycle service …….what happened to Strike?

Boomin?  Bruce Bros will already be working on the replacement for Boomin!
