Nine month since launching its own channel, Boomin now claims to have the number one property platform on YouTube.
Launched as part of its wider digital strategy to try and lead the way in the social space, the property YouTube channel, which launched in June last year, aims to draw more people into the property market – via the Boomin website.
The Boomin Property YouTube channel currently features a range of created videos that includes British YouTube star WillNE, who has had more than 1 billion views of his channels and over 4.4 million subscribers, as he heads off mansion shopping with his girlfriend Mia.
Boomin is trying to harness the power of influencers and celebrities, such as WillNe, who has 4.6m followers, and Behzinga who has 4.7m followers.
The episode of ‘Inside Behzinga’s New Dream House’ was trending on YouTube, exceeding 1.5 views, matching the latest instalment of the ever popular Kirstie & Phil’s Love It or List It.
Many other shows including ‘At Home with Yiannimize’ and ‘AJ & Sharkey Look For A New Beta Squad Mansion’, have also been big draws, as the channel continues to grow in popularity, having secured over 26,000 subscribers, which Boomin is keen to highlight is ‘more than double the followers of all of the other property portals combined’.
Phil Lloyd, CMO of Boomin, said: “We are a property obsessed nation but until now property social channels have failed to provide suitable content to feed our addiction. People are looking for something new and fresh; they want to see the most exciting, jaw-dropping properties in the UK presented by the most influential people that are relevant to them, online.
“The majority of our subscribers are homeowners. We’re engaging a large, broad audience of consumers who are very much into property in a new and compelling way, with the ultimate aim of drawing more people into the market.
“This is only just the start. We have huge ambitions to become the most entertaining property brand online, building a loyal subscriber base, and helping agents to connect with these audiences.”
What a very odd thing to boast about.

Well done Boomin – that means you can earn money from You Tube – that’s all this really means. People watching these videos aren’t your serious day to day buyers. It might mean it helps to raise your profile over time.

I currently have more pigeons on the roof of my office than ANY of my competitors.

It’s not the number of views or number of subscribers but how many of them actually engage rather than simply entertain themselves.

Even with such a tremendous USP, I’d never ever join

Why all the knockers?
Quite impressive I thought. If it were an estate agent I’m sure you’d all be applauding. Touch of the green eyed monster I feel.

It’s not about how big your subscription is, it’s how you use it right?

So what Boomin. Is it producing the goods that matters ….. err no, you still lag behind on the horizon as far as the agents, public and portal world are concerned.
