Belvoir owner buys local independent firm after founders retire

Hennings Moir, an independent in Saltash, Cornwall, has been sold to a local Belvoir business.

Its founders Ian Henning and Steve Moir have now both taken retirement, almost 35 years after launching the firm.

It has been bought by Kerry Pike, owner of the nearby Plymouth Belvoir business.

She plans to run the two businesses in tandem, saying: “When I bought Belvoir back in 2016, my plan was always to look out for acquisitions and grow the business, and I’m thrilled to be the new owner of Hennings Moir.

“I was of course aware of Hennings Moir and the fact that it’s a very professional and respected brand with an outstanding reputation, which is very important to me.

“I feel the two agencies complement each other as Hennings Moir also has an excellent lettings portfolio and is very experienced in the sales market. I thought a collaboration would work very well.”

Hennings Moir will continue its membership of Experts in Property, a network of around 80 independent estate agency offices in the south-west.

Kerry is a formidable operator, who is known to me. This is a fantastic opportunity for two companies that really care about their clients to form an alliance and add real value to the the newly formatted business. More power to those who make a statement of intent in this challenging market
