Belvoir launches new logo and strapline in second rebrand in six years

Belvoir has embarked on its second rebrand in six years.

Franchisees will have until November 2020 to start using new branding on marketing material and agency boards.

From today, Belvoir will have a new logo that is accompanied by a strapline stating: “Property is personal.”

Dorian Gonsalves, chief executive, said: “Belvoir has always been a progressive company, which has contributed to the fantastic success of our franchisees, and 21 unbroken years of profit for the company.

“Belvoir now has more than 300 high street franchised offices across the UK and is firmly established as one of the nation’s largest and most reputable property groups. This brand refresh is another exciting new chapter in Belvoir’s history.

“Our marketing team has been working extremely hard on the rebrand and we are looking forward to unveiling Belvoir’s new look.

“Eye-catching new To Let and For Sale boards have been designed, and we are updating the website to feature the new branding and images. Our franchisees now have access to a superb new toolkit of innovative marketing materials.”

A spokesman for Belvoir said franchisees were involved in every step of the refresh through a working group.

Belvoir last underwent a rebrand in May 2012 when it updated its branches across the country.

I often drive past the Belvoir office on London Road in Southampton and think it looks really good. Both welcoming and professional. If you are going to pay the overhead of high street premises you need to milk the value out of it. Clean windows, no clutter, eye catching decor matched to your boards and online collateral. So we will be very interested to see their new look!

Is it pronounced “Bell-voir” or “Beaver”?

I heard years ago that it was named after Belvoir castle which is pronounced “Beaver” could be completely wrong though!

From the horses mouth a few years ago, when I asked the same question – it’s meant to be pronounced Beaver, but the company line is to pronounce it belv-war so as not to confuse those unfamiliar with the castle

You could once tell the cut of a chap’s jib by his pronunciation of words such as ‘Belvoir’ ‘Beauchamp’ ‘Cholmondeley’ etc. Anyone coming out with ‘Bell Vwar’ was definitely NQTD and NOS and deserved a darn good flogging before morning kippers. Baaah!

Beaver is indeed the local pronounciation and the name of the fantastic castle, however it’s a corruption from the French ‘beautiful view’ – belle voir- which is what we call ourselves. (Outside Grantham!)
